What Are They Up To Now? PPA Tour Australia Athletes on the Move Ahead of the Gold Coast Slam

With the PPA Gold Coast Slam fast approaching on June 5–8, the stars of PPA Tour Australia are scattered across the globe—training, competing, and preparing to light up the courts once again. Here’s a look at what our top athletes are up to in the lead-up to one of the biggest events of the year.


Global Grinders

  • Nicola Schoeman is sharpening her game on the international stage, currently winning double gold in Dubai against some of the world’s best.
  • Sarah Burr, ever the workhorse, also tasted success in Dubai, before joining her Gold Coast Glory squad at a local training camp. She’ll then head to Vietnam for the exciting D-Joy International event.
  • George Wall, currently ranked #3 on the PPA Tour leaderboard, is locked in for a big showing at D-Joy in Vietnam, adding to an already impressive 2025 season.
  • Roos Van Reek, fresh off an impressive double gold at the PPA Perth Open, is taking that momentum to Vietnam as well.
  • Jai Grewal put up a strong performance in Perth and will join George, Roos, and Sarah at D-Joy, showcasing Australia’s rising pickleball talent on the Asian circuit.

Perth Powerhouses

  • Katy Hart dominated the PPA Perth Open with double titles, showing she’s one to watch at the Slam.
  • Andy Horridge, playing on home turf in Perth, also took double gold, proving experience and local support go a long way.

Stateside Sharpening

  • Lucas Pascoe is currently deep in training in the USA, working closely with elite PPA US athlete CJ Klinger to prepare for a strong showing on the Gold Coast.

Hard at Work

  • Rob Stirling has been putting in serious hours with the Sypik team and will head to Vietnam for the D-Joy event alongside his fellow Aussies.
  • Kenta Miyoshi is also locked in for D-Joy, building valuable international experience just weeks out from the Slam.

Rest & Recharge

  • Mitch Hargreaves, the current #1 ranked Aussie male, is taking a well-earned break, enjoying some down time in Germany and Switzerland—and apparently perfecting his snowball juggling skills.
  • Bee Massih has returned overseas to spend time with family and recharge before the next stage of the season.
