PPA Australia is back with 2025’s first SLAM event. It’s shaping up to be even bigger than New Zealand, which sold out two weeks early.

Divisions Available

This event welcomes players of all levels, with divisions designed for various skill levels and age groups. Find your perfect match and compete in:

• 3.49 and below: For players new to tournaments or don’t get to play as often as they would like to sharpen their skills

• 3.49- 4.0: For players with intermediate skills who are comfortable with basic strategies and techniques. This division is ideal for those looking to improve their game and take it to the next level.
  
• 4.0 – 4.49: For advanced-intermediate players who are comfortable with competitive play, demonstrating a strong understanding of strategies and consistently strong shots. Ideal for players who are aiming to push their skills further.
  
• 4.5+: For highly advanced players and those competing at a competitive level. This division includes some of the top amateurs and semi-professional players looking to challenge themselves.
  
• Pro 5.0+: For elite-level players including professional athletes who have extensive competitive experience in top-tier events.
  
• Age-based Categories:
  
  • 18U Juniors: For players under 18 years old, competing in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
    
  • 19+: Open to players 19 years and older.
    
  • 50+: For those in the 50+ age range, providing an opportunity to compete against players of a similar age and experience level.
    
  • 60+: For those 60 years and older, focusing on competitive play and fun for the senior community.
    

Draw Formats

• Pro 5.0+: Single Elimination Progression Draw – Medal matches played on Sunday
• Pro Masters 4.0+ (50+): Double Elimination Draw
• 4.5+ Open Events: Double Elimination Draw
• All other events: Pool play (game to 15) into elimination finals
  

Pro + Open Eligibility

• Players may enter both Pro and 4.5+ Open events.
• PPA-signed pro players are not eligible for Open divisions
• Teams who have medaled in PPA Pro event are not eligible to enter Open as a team

Onsite Athlete Support

Our sports medicine team will be available to all athletes, offering:

• Injury prevention
• Pre-match preparation
• Onsite treatment and recovery support

This SLAM event will also be Event 3 of the Major League Pickleball Association (MLPA), showcasing the Premier, Challenger, and Masters teams across four days of thrilling competition. Get ready for the best of the best battling it out for glory!

Championship Sunday – June 8th, 2025

Don’t miss the exciting Championship Sunday, packed with top-level competition throughout the day:

• 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM: PPA Pro Gold and Bronze Matches
  
• 3:00 PM: The MLPA Championship Match – watch the best of the Premier teams compete for the title.
  

Additionally, catch the MLPA Masters and Challenger Teams competing for their Championships in the morning, starting at 8:00 AM, in a day full of thrilling matchups and intense competition.
