How Many Tournaments Are There and Who Can Register to Play?

The 2025 PPA Tour calendar includes 12 tournaments in 2 different countries. Each tournament is categorised as either a Open (1000), a  Cup (1500) or a Slam (2000) with the numbers representing the total number of PPA Australia Points awarded to the 1st-place winners in men’s and women’s pro singles, men’s and women’s pro doubles, and mixed pro doubles.

There is one Pro bracket (also known as “draws”) played at each tournament: PPA Pro Main Draw. This consists of the top 16/24/32 seeded teams respectfully. This is a single elimination draw for Cup/Slam or Double Elimination for Open. There is prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

You don’t need to be a professional to play on the PPA Tour Australia, however. There are amateur brackets Open (level below Pro), Juniors for U16 and for Masters 50+ played out alongside the professional brackets each day of a tournament.

PPA Tour Australia Rankings Presented by Joola

How Do Player Rankings Work?

The PPA Tour Australia Rankings Presented by Proton award professional players points based on their results at PPA Tour tournaments, with the most points being awarded at a Slam (2000). The deeper a player advances at a tournament, the more points they earn.

The Rankings are updated after each tournament and reflect points earned  during the current calendar year (The Race).

Points will be taken from an athletes best 9 results over the 2025 calendar. Each event an athletes best two results from that event will be counted.
