Defending Champions Return Under the Spotlight

The 2025 Redcliffe Pickleball Cup at Redcliffe produced a host of standout performances that set the tone for Australian pro pickleball heading into 2026. Mixed Doubles gold medallists Roos van Reek and George Wall claimed back-to-back titles with a composed and assertive showing, cementing their status as one of Australia’s premier mixed pairings. Men’s Pro champion Hong Kit Wong returns with a target on his back, having earned a reputation for patience in neutral rallies and explosive execution when opportunities arise.

Women’s Pro title-holder Andie Dikosavljevic also returns to defend her crown after a tournament built on consistency and remarkable court coverage. In the Masters divisions, Shane Wilson (Men’s 50+ Singles) and the pairing of Moira Roush and Martin Clark (Masters Mixed Doubles) will look to confirm that experience and tactical intelligence can again be the decisive edge. With athletes ranging from 12 years old to 63 this really is an event for the whole community. Free entry for spectators to all the full three day events.

The event also carries international significance: Pro players will earn both PPA Tour Australia ranking points and PPA Tour USA/Asia points, adding a global dimension to what is already one of the most watched stops on the Australasian circuit.

Mayor Peter Flannery said the return of the PPA125 Moreton Bay event highlighted the city’s ability to attract high-quality, nationally and internationally recognised competitions.

“Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in Australia, and the City of Moreton Bay is proud to be playing a leading role in that growth by hosting an event that combines professional excellence with strong community participation.”

— Mayor Peter Flannery, City of Moreton Bay
