Pro Pickleball Heads to Wellington: PPA Tour Australia Crosses the Tasman

Author: PPA Tour Australia | March 23, 2026

The PPA Tour Australia is heading back to New Zealand and Wellington is about to find out what tour-level pickleball looks like up close.

Mark the calendar: June 12–14, the Renouf Tennis Centre plays host to the PPA 125 Wellington, the first PPA Tour Australia event on New Zealand soil in 2026, and one of the most anticipated stops on the calendar.

A Venue Built for Big Moments

The Renouf Tennis Centre is one of New Zealand’s premier racquet sports facilities, and it’s about to get a pickleball makeover. Expect a fast, competitive atmosphere with tour-standard courts and a field that will draw players from across New Zealand and Australia.

Who to Watch

The women’s draw is set to be fierce. Andie Dikosavljevic arrives in Wellington off the back of her Sydney 125 singles title and will be one of the hottest tickets in the pro field. Sarah Burr is a player who consistently performs on the big stage and will push hard across every draw she enters. On the men’s side, Zach Grabovic and Mitch Hargreaves, fresh from podium finishes in Sydney will be aiming to go one better, while New Zealand’s own top local talent will be fired up to perform in front of a home crowd. Watch this space for confirmed player announcements as the field takes shape.

Last Year’s Auckland Champions Set the Bar

At the 2025 PPA Auckland event, the standard was high and the competition fierce. Kenta Miyoshi took Men’s Doubles gold, Andie Dikosavljevic claimed the Women’s Singles title, and Zach Grabovic took out the Men’s Doubles with Robert Stirling, results that will motivate the chasing pack heading into Wellington.
